Copenhagen Fashion Week is organized by the Danish Fashion Institute, an organization that was created for fashion industry professionals to promote, market, and drive Danish fashion forward. In keeping with that, Copenhagen Fashion Week was developed and has been gaining momentum since its inception in 1964.

It has been reported that more than 50,000 buyers, designers and global press attend Copenhagen Fashion Week twice a year and it’s little wonder. With the world's high interest in Scandinavian aesthetic, and the beauty of Copenhagen itself, it’s no surprise that fashion industry insiders have been turning to this city for a look into upcoming trends and new design stars.

For those that can’t make it oversees for the shows, there are podcasts available for iPods and you can view shows online at CopenhagenFashionWeek.TV.
